There is a serious shortage of quality housing for homeless youth on the Gold Coast.  We provide 39 places for young people to feel safe - 19 of those provide 24/7 care. 29 of those places are Government funded, the Gold Coast community fund a further 10 beds through donations and material support.

We thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to improving the lives on young people on the Gold Coast.

Donating time:
We are currently at capacity for students and volunteers. Contact Volunteering Gold Coast: 07 5526 0688

Material donations:
Our priority as a service is to support our young people. As such, we appreciate donations that can be dropped to our administration office. We do not do same-day pick up of donated items.
Please call to discuss your donation and we will be happy to offer advice on the service most in need of your item/s.

Clothing donations:
We are currently at storage capacity for clothing and furniture donations. However, previously we have accepted clean quality clothing items that are suitable for young people 16-19 years. We cannot accept used socks or underwear for hygiene reasons.

Furniture donations:
We have limited capacity to take furniture items. Please send us a photo and we will see if we have a young person or family who would benefit from the item. You can also contact your local Salvation Army or RSPCA Op Shop for larger donation collections.

Bequests
Your kind bequest, no matter how small, can help us to break the cycle of homelessness.   Our legal name is Gold Coast Project for Homeless Youth Inc., and our ABN is 81 352 427 803.

Holiday/Christmas gifts:
We do gratefully accept gifts that would benefit a teenager 16-19 years and/or a young family. If you wish to match your gift to a young family's ages, contact us at administration 07 5591 3746. We also accept food items for a Christmas lunch/dinner.

We protect the privacy of our young people. Unfortunately this means you cannot generally meet the young person that you are wanting to give the donation to, or tour a refuge site.  However, we can pass along a thoughtful card.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
