GOLD COAST PROJECT FOR HOMELESS YOUTH INC. (GCPHY) IS AN INCORPORATED COMMUNITY ORGANISATION FORMED IN 1984 TO PROVIDE ACCOMMODATION AND SUPPORT FOR HOMELESS YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE GOLD COAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

​GCPHY is a Specialist Homelessness Service and is funded by the Queensland Government Department of Housing and Public Works.

We aim to accommodate and support young people who are:
  • In crisis and in need of immediate accommodation
  • Disadvantaged or at risk and in need of transitional (medium term) accommodation
  • The Mobile Support service offer a range of services for young people to secure and sustain stable accommodation.

Transitional Model

Studies have shown that the longer a young person maintains housing, the less likely they are to return to a cycle of homelessness. Our transitional model aims to support a young person through each stage of the process, so that they can literally move from street to home.

Our Team

The GCPHY Team includes a Management Committee headed by President Andrew Antonopoulos, a management team consisting of a General Manager and Team Leaders, a wider staff base, and a group of dedicated volunteers. We also take on students for TAFE and University placements.
